LG Watch Urbane powered by Android Wear, announced before MWC 2015 will finally be launching on April 27 in UK. It will be priced at £269.99.
According to UK retailer Clove, the LG Watch Urbane will be launched in UK on April 27 for £269.99. The Android Wear watch could also be launching in India around the same time as we had reported before. It will be priced around Rs 25,000-30,000 in India.
The LG Watch Urbane LTE which runs on LG’s own WebOS based platform will be also be available from Clove. However, we do not know the launch date or expected price yet. The Urbane LTE went on sale in Korea on March 27 for US $590. You can pre-order the LG Watch Urbane from Clove’s website and also register if you’re interested in the Urbane LTE.
The LG Watch Urbane is the first luxury smartwatch which comes with a metal build. The luxury watch should take on the upcoming Apple Watch which is all set to launch on April 24. Lets have a look at the specifications.

The LG Watch Urbane has a 1.3-inch (320 x 320) P-OLED display with 245 ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The smartwatch comes with 512 MB of LPDDR2 RAM and it has 4 GB of internal storage (eMMC). Its dimensions are 45.5 x 52.2 x 10.9 mm.
The LG Watch Urbane is dust and water-resistant (IP67) as well and it can stay in water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes. The smartwatch rocks a 410 mAh battery. It runs on Android Wear 5.0.2 OS and is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 and above.
The LG Watch Urbane comes with 9-axis (Gyro/Accelerometer/Compass) sensor, Barometer and photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to measure heartbeats. The smartwatch will be available in polished silver and gold finish variants.
