LG Stylus 2 Plus with Snapdragon 430 SoC, 3GB RAM global roll out begins

LG Stylus 2 Plus phablet was announced in Taiwan last week. It is an ‘upgraded’ variant of the LG Stylus 2 which was launched in February this year. Yesterday, the company has said that the phablet has started rolling out starting from Taiwan. Lets check out the specifications of the device now.

The LG Stylus 2 Plus features a 5.7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS in-cell touch display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. It has 2 / 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 / 32 GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

It is equipped with a 16 or 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 8 or 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It comes with a body of 7.4 mm thickness, that is wrapped around by a metal frame and it weighs just 146 grams. It supports Dual SIM and comes with a fingerprint sensor as well.

On the connectivity front, the Stylus 2 Plus has 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC (optional). It packs in a 3,000 mAh removable battery under the hood.

The speciality of LG Stylus 2 Plus is that it comes with a new stylus pen that comes with a nano-coated tip promising more accuracy. There is a Pen Keeper feature which will prevent the user from misplacing the stylus by displaying a pop-up message when the phone is detected as being in motion when the stylus bar is empty. Also, LG is providing a Pen Pop feature that toggles a pop-up menu when the stylus is removed to display shortcuts to Pop Memo and Pop Scanner.

The LG Stylus 2 is available in Gold, Brown and Titan color variants. It has been priced at TWD 10,990 (US $338 / INR Rs 22,695 approximately) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM variant and is now selling in Taiwan. It will also roll out in Asia, South America, Europe and North America in the upcoming weeks, according to LG.
