LG Stylus 2, the successor of LG G4 Stylus was officially introduced in February this year, ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. It has now been launched in India today. Lets check out the specifications of this big phablet.
LG Stylus 2 Specifications
The LG Stylus 2 features a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS in-cell touch display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
It is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It comes with a body of 7.4 mm thickness, that is wrapped around by a metal frame and it weighs just 145 grams, in spite of being a massive phone. It supports Dual SIM (nano), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.
On the connectivity front, the Stylus 2 has 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It packs in a 3,000 mAh removable battery under the hood.
The speciality of LG Stylus 2 is that it comes with a new stylus pen that comes with a nano-coated tip promising more accuracy. LG said, “The new Calligraphy Pen font will let you write as beautifully and decoratively as if using a fountain pen”. There is a Pen Keeper feature which will prevent the user from misplacing the stylus by displaying a pop-up message when the phone is detected as being in motion when the stylus bar is empty. Also, LG is providing a Pen Pop feature that toggles a pop-up menu when the stylus is removed to display shortcuts to Pop Memo and Pop Scanner.
The LG Stylus 2 is available in Brown and Titan color variants for Rs 20,500 (MRP) in India. It has been listed on the official LG India website and will soon go on sale in the country starting from May 18, 2016 for Rs 19,500. The customers will also get a free LG Signature interactive smart cover with the purchase of Stylus 2 phablet.
