LG Stylus 2 with Android Marshmallow launched in Korea

LG Stylus 2 was officially introduced ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) last month. Now, the device has been launched in Korea couple of days back. Lets check out the specifications of the big phablet.


LG Stylus 2 Specifications

The LG Stylus 2 features a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS in-cell touch display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

It is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It comes with a body of 7.4 mm thickness, that is wrapped around by a metal frame and it weighs just 145 grams.

On the connectivity front, the Stylus 2 has 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC (optional). It packs in a 3,000 mAh removable battery under the hood.


The speciality of LG Stylus 2 is that it comes with a new stylus pen that comes with a nano-coated tip promising more accuracy. LG said, “The new Calligraphy Pen font will let you write as beautifully and decoratively as if using a fountain pen”. There is a Pen Keeper feature which will prevent the user from misplacing the stylus by displaying a pop-up message when the phone is detected as being in motion when the stylus bar is empty. Also, LG is providing a Pen Pop feature that toggles a pop-up menu when the stylus is removed to display shortcuts to Pop Memo and Pop Scanner.

The LG Stylus 2 is available in White and Titan color variants and has been priced at 396,000 South Korean Won (US $329 / INR Rs 22,017 approximately). It is being sold via all the three major carriers in Korea – SKT, LG U+ and KT now. The company has also mentioned that the device is coming to Europe, USA and Asia soon.
