LG Nexus 5X aka Nexus 5 (2015) final image leaks ahead of launch

There is a lot of buzz about the upcoming Nexus devices. Two new devices are coming, one from LG and another from Huawei. The LG-made Nexus has already been leaked heavily showing purported rendered images and live images, showing the back side of the device as well. According to latest rumours, the handset will be known as LG Nexus 5X.

A report on AndroidPIT claims that the above image (back) of the LG Nexus 5X is the final design of the phone. It appears to be a press render on the first glance, however, folks at AndroidPIT have confirmed that it isn’t. They have straightened the picture and omitted the background to protect the source.

This surely looks the final deal but the LG branding is missing from the device. There is no way to put it on the front glass display. So, either Google has omitted the branding (unlikely) or the final design will have it. The smartphone is also expected to be launched on September 29 that is like 20 days from now, so keep on expecting more leaks and rumours leading up to the event.

According to previous leaks, the device might feature a USB Type-C port, which is seen on the OnePlus 2. Coming to the display, it might feature a 5.2-inch screen, however, we are not sure about the resolution yet. The LG Nexus 5X will be 8 mm thick at the thinnest point and 9.8 mm thick at the thickest point, because of the protruding camera, according to the leak. The unofficial renders based on the factory schematics depict a large camera sensor on the back along with a dual-tone LED flash, laser Auto Focus. We can also see a fingerprint scanner which is circular in design below the camera module. The images also show a dual front-facing speaker.

The LG Nexus 2015 is rumoured to come with a metal frame and plastic back, however, there is a possibility of it being featuring a full metal uni-body design.
