Lg might be the first vendor to push Android Lollipop to its flagship device G3

The Android Lollipop update started rolling out for the Nexus Tablets just a few days ago. It was supposedly to start its run from 3rd of this month but Google held it back since there was a major Wi-Fi bug which was causing the trouble. The Nexus smartphones haven’t got the Android Lollipop update till now but there is a good news for people using LG’s latest flagship device.

This time LG has been the first vendor who would be pushing their new ROM having Android Lollipop starting this week. LG has left behind other vendors like Samsung, Sony, HTC and even the Google Play Edition Phones. The irony is that Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 haven’t yet got the updates being a Google phone whereas LG is ready with their Lollipop ROM for LG G3. The OTA should be available in sometime or may be a few day starting from Poland and other regions would follow soon after.

Earlier this week, we saw quite a few screenshots showing Lollipop running on the G3 , so perhaps the news of its imminent arrival shouldn’t surprise us.Other manufacturers that should soon bring Lollipop to select devices include Samsung, Motorola, HTC, and Sony. LG said that details regarding Lollipop updates for other devices will be revealed “in the near future.” For the record, LG Germany already confirmed that the G2 would get Lollipop sometime after the G3.
