LG-made Google Nexus 5X officially launched in India, price starts at Rs 31990

LG-made Google Nexus 5X has been officially launched in India, as expected. The smartphone was announced back in September. Lets take a look at the specifications and pricing of the device in India.


Google Nexus 5X Specifications

The LG-made Google Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (Quad 1.44 GHz ARM A53 + Quad 1.8 GHz ARM A57) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes in 16 or 32 GB internal memory that cannot be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Google Now voice assistant is now always on and will work even when the screen is off.

The Nexus 5X comes with a 12.3 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1.55 micron sensor, f/2.0 aperture and Laser Auto Focus. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 9.7 mm thick, weighs just 136 grams and supports a Single Nano SIM. It comes with a fingerprint sensor named as Nexus Imprint on the back that can be used for secured lock, payments made via Android Pay, wake up the phone and unlock apps as well. It recognizes a fingerprint in less than 600 milliseconds, according to Google.


The Nexus 5X includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and reversible USB Type-C port as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,700 mAh battery under the hood.

The Google Nexus 5X is available in Quartz White, Carbon Black and Ice Blue color variants and has been priced at Rs 31,900 (16GB) and Rs 35,900 (32GB). It can be pre-ordered from Amazon India starting from today at 2PM. It goes on sale via Amazon and select offline stores including The Mobile Store, Croma, Ezone, Reliance Digital and more from October 21. The smartphone comes with a free Bluetooth headset worth Rs 2,500, a free screen replacement worth Rs 6,500 and also cash back worth Rs 3,500 on all HDFC credit cards.

Google has also launched the Huawei-made Nexus 6P in India today.
