LG K7 LTE ‘Made in India’ smartphone launched in India for Rs 9500

LG has launched couple of new smartphones in India that support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice over WiFi) out of the box. According to LG, the VoLTE and VoWiFi feature will enable faster transmission of data and voice. Lets check out the specifications of budget offering, the LG K7 LTE here. It was announced back in January.


LG K7 LTE Specifications

The LG K7 LTE features a 5-inch (854 x 480) FWVGA In-cell touch 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor along with Adreno 304 GPU. It comes with 1.5 GB RAM along with 8 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The K7 rocks a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, which can record 720p HD videos. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 141 grams.

The LG K7 packs in 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone has a 2,125 mAh battery underneath the hood.

The LG K7 LTE is available in Titan, Gold and White color variants and has been priced at Rs 9,500 in India. LG India has also launched the LG K10 LTE in the country for Rs 13,500. However, it comes with a free smart quick cover out of the box.

Also, these are the first LG smartphones to be manufactured at its new Noida plant in India. They were launched by telecom and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad at an event in Delhi today. LG aims to make 1 million smartphones in its new plant in 2016.
