LG Joy announced with Android 5.0 Lollipop ahead of MWC 2015

LG has announced four new mid-range smartphone running Android 5.0 Lollipop OS ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC), 2015. We are going to look at the specifications of LG Joy in this post.

LG Joy Specifications

The LG Joy features a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display which is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core/quad-core processor. It has 512 MB/1 GB of RAM and comes with 4/8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop on the dual-core variant and Android 4.4 KitKat on the quad-core variant which is quite odd to be honest. We expect the quad-core variant to get updated soon.

The LG Joy comes with a 5 megapixel auto-focus rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 0.3 megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 11.9 mm thick.

The LG Joy includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 1,900 mAh removable battery under the hood. The smartphone would go on sale starting this week in few select markets. The device would be showcased at MWC 2015 in Barcelona and the pricing will be revealed.

LG recently launched the LG Watch Urbane Android Wear smartwatch which would also be showcased at MWC. LG shipped 15.6 million phones in the fourth quarter of 2014.
