LG giving away an extra battery, 32GB microSD and charging cradle to early adopters of G4 in USA

LG G4 has not even launched in USA but the company is luring potential customers with lots of freebies. Consumers who buy the G4 before June 21 will get freebies which can be redeemed by sending their IMEI numbers along with receipt of purchase.


LG has decided to giveaway an extra battery, a 32GB microSD card and a charging cradle for early adopters in USA. The accessories being offered has to be claimed after the purchase of the device and won’t be given out at the same time. Consumers need to fill up few forms along with a copy of sales receipt and send it to LG’s office in Santa Ana in California by mail.

In case, you’re in USA and looking forward to buy the G4, get it before June 21 to get hold of the freebies. We do not have any information if the company plans to follow-up with same offers around the world but we will get to know in the coming weeks.

LG G4 Specifications and Features


The G4 features a polycarbonate body with a slight curve which would make it 20% more rigid and improve the handling. It has a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quantum HD display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It comes with a pixel density of 534ppi and has a screen-to-body ratio of 74.3%. According to LG, this display is about 25% brighter, has 50% more contrast and 20% wider colour reproduction than the G3.

The G4 is powered by 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with LG UX 4.0 custom skin on top of it. The updated OS from LG comes with a lot of new features retaining some proprietary software like Knock On, KnockCode and health app. The phablet is 8.9 mm thick and comes with a 1W speaker which it retains from the G3. It also has volume rocker and power button at the back.

The G4 comes with a 16 megapixel rear primary camera with dual-tone dual LED flash, laser auto-focus and optical image stabilization. It comes with f/1.8 aperture which allows 80% more light than the G3. It can shoot 2160p videos at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. The G4 can shoot panoramas up to 104 megapixel. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with ultra-thin IR filter for great selfies and video calling.


The G4 includes 4G LTE (Cat6), 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), WiFi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, A2DP, LE, apt-X, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, IR blaster, FM Radio with RDS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh removable battery under the hood and supports fast charging. The battery charges up to 60% in about 30 minutes, according to LG. It also supports wireless charging using Qi-enabled wireless chargers.

The G4 will be available in silk white, metallic black and shine gold colour options with premium leather back covers. The 32GB base variant will set up back by US $680 (INR Rs 42,900 approximately) and the Leather variant will cost US $730 (INR Rs 46,000 approximately). The pricing is based on leaked information as the official pricing has not been revealed yet.
