LG G5 flagship smartphone with modular design and companion devices called LG Friends were launched last month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. Now, LG G5 Lite has been certified by TENAA in China, which will be launched in Latin American markets soon. Instead of the Snapdragon 820 chipset on the G5, the ‘Lite’ variant will have Snapdragon 652 on board along with 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB. It will also have a slightly smaller battery of 2,700 mAh under the hood. Lets check out the full rumoured specifications.
LG G5 Lite (LG-H848) Rumoured Specifications
The LG G5 Lite will features a 5.3-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD always-on display along with 3D Arc Glass. The always-on display will let users check the time, battery status, and notifications without waking up the phone. The display’s backlight only illuminates one small part of the overall display, so only 0.8% of the phone’s battery drains in an hour, according to LG.
It will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 (Quad 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2 GHz A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. The flagship smartphone will run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the latest LG UX on top of it.
The G5 Lite will sport a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Optical Image stabilization (OIS) 2.0, Laser Auto Focus, manual mode and support for 4K video recording. It will also come with a 8 megapixel secondary rear camera with 135-degree wide-angle lens. On the front, there will be a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone will be 7.7~8.6 mm thick and weigh 156 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor located below the dual rear camera setup.
The LG G5 Lite will include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. It will pack in a 2,700 mAh removable battery under the hood that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
