LG announces ‘best buy’ festive offers on G4 and G4 Stylus in India

LG has announced ‘best buy’ festive offers on the recently launched G4 and G4 Stylus in India. The G4 was launched for Rs 51,000 but now the ‘best buy’ price is Rs 45,000 for the Leather back variant and Rs 40,000 for the Ceramic White variant.


The LG G4 Stylus was launched for Rs 24,990 couple of weeks back in July and will now cost Rs 21,000. However, these devices are already available at even cheaper rates from various online portals. LG also did not specify the ‘festive period’ for the G4 and G4 Stylus but we think it is a permanent price cut and will be declared over time. We will bring you the review of the LG G4 in a couple of days, which will also help you decide, whether to go for the device or skip it, even at ‘best buy’ festive offer.

LG G4 Specifications and Features

The LG G4 features a polycarbonate body with a slight curve which would make it 20% more rigid and improve the handling. It has a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quantum HD display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It comes with a pixel density of 534ppi and has a screen-to-body ratio of 74.3%. According to LG, this display is about 25% brighter, has 50% more contrast and 20% wider colour reproduction than the G3.

The G4 is powered by 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with LG UX 4.0 custom skin on top of it. The updated OS from LG comes with a lot of new features retaining some proprietary software like Knock On, KnockCode and health app. The phablet is 8.9 mm thick and comes with a 1W speaker which it retains from the G3. It also has volume rocker and power button at the back.

The LG G4 comes with a 16 megapixel rear primary camera with dual-tone dual LED flash, laser auto-focus and optical image stabilization. It comes with f/1.8 aperture which allows 80% more light than the G3. It can shoot 2160p videos at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. The G4 can shoot panoramas up to 104 megapixel. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with ultra-thin IR filter for great selfies and video calling.

The G4 includes 4G LTE (Cat6), 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band), WiFi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, A2DP, LE, apt-X, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, IR blaster, FM Radio with RDS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh removable battery under the hood and supports fast charging. The battery charges up to 60% in about 30 minutes, according to LG. It also supports wireless charging using Qi-enabled wireless chargers.


LG G4 Stylus Specifications

The LG G4 Stylus features a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS in-cell touch display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which is expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box.

It is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Laser Auto Focus. On the front, a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The phablet weighs 163 grams and is 9.6 mm thick. It supports dual SIM feature, comes with 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.

On the connectivity front, the G4 Stylus has 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. It packs in a 3,000 mAh removable battery under the hood. The LG G4 Stylus is available in Metallic Silver and Floral White colour variants
