LeTV Le Max with USB C announced in China

LeTV is one of the most popular video network operators in China. They have introduced three smartphones to make an entry in the mobile world. Lets talk about the second one – LeTV Le Max. Earlier we saw the Le 1 and Le 1Pro.


The smartphones from LeTV becomes the first mobile devices to feature USB Type C port. Earlier, it was seen on the Nokia N1 tablet. Then, we saw it on the new MacBook launched by Apple and also on Chromebook Pixel by Google. The most recent device featuring USB Type C is the Microsoft Surface 3. Lets have a look at the specifications of LeTV Le Max.

LeTV Le Max Specifications

The LeTV Le Max sports a 6.33-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display and is powered by a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor (4 x 1.5 GHz ARM A53 + 4 x 2.0 GHz ARM A57) with Adreno 430 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB of internal memory which is not expandable via microSD card slot. It runs on Android based EUI OS. It also has fingerprint reader.

On the camera front, the LeTV Le Max has a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, OIS, dual ISP support and f/2.0 aperture. It has 4 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has dual SIM support, 3.5 mm audio jack, Wireless HDMI and LeHiFi and audio chip built by AKG.

The LeTV Le Max comes with MHL 2.0, USB Type C, 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,400 mAh battery under the hood.

The LeTV Le Max is available in gold and silver colour variants and the company has decided the leave the pricing in customer’s hands. Yes, people in China can vote and decide the price of Le Max. The device will be available from their official website via flash sale which will start later this month. LeTV plans to bring the device to India by end of 2015.
