Letv Le 1s phablet officially launched for USD 173

Letv Le 1s phablet has been officially launched in China today. The company is a popular video network operator that has recently started making smartphones. It is the successor of the Le 1 that was announced earlier this year. Lets check out the specifications of the device.


Letv Le 1s Specifications

The LeTV Le 1s sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) in-cell display with 500 nits brightness. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) 64-bit processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of internal memory (eMMC 5.0) which is not expandable via microSD card slot. It runs on EUI 5.5 OS based on Android Lollipop.

On the camera front, the Le 1s has a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, ISOCELL sensor, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. It shoots 4K videos at 30 fps and 720p videos (slo-mo) at 120 fps. It has 5 megapixel front-facing camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens and Samsung S5K5E2 sensor for selfies and video calling. It has dual SIM (nano + micro) support, 3.5 mm audio jack, has Dolby audio and supports Dirac HD audio technology. It is 7.5 mm thick and weighs 169 grams. It has a fingerprint scanner at the back below the rear camera.

The Letv Le 1s comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0 quirk APT-X, GPS, MHL 2.0 and USB 2.0 Type C as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood. According to the company, if you charge it using a 24W charger for 5 minutes, then you can make voice calls for 3.5 hours.


The Letv Le 1s is available in Gold color and has been priced at CNY 1099 (US $173 / INR Rs 11,245 approximately) in China. According to the company, the bill of materials (BOM) adds up to CNY 1310, so they are selling the device at a loss. About 300,000 units of Le 1s will go on sale via official lemall and in China on November 3. Letv is also looking to enter the Indian market soon.
