Lenovo ZUK Z1 now selling globally with free shipping for USD 339.89

The recently announced Lenovo ZUK Z1 is now selling globally. It is the first device by the Lenovo-backed startup ZUK. It was announced in China on August 11.


Unlocked Lenovo ZUK Z1 can now be ordered globally from Gearbest for US $339.89. It is priced at CNY 1799 (US $285) in China. It comes in White and Deep Grey colour variants. Hence, consumers need to pay a premium of around $55 since it is not officially selling globally yet. It starts shipping from October 15.

The e-commerce giant, Gearbest from China delivers in most countries with free shipping. However, you could also expedite the shipping by paying nominal charges and get it within 3-7 business days. Lets check out the specifications now.


Lenovo ZUK Z1 Specifications

The Lenovo ZUK Z1 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, has a 1500:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 64-bit processor along with Adreno 330 GPU. It has 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes with 64 internal storage but does not have expandable storage. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with ZUI on top of it. It has an aircraft-grade aluminium metal frame around the body.

The Z1 comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX214 Exmor RS sensor, OIS, f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision OV8865 sensor for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 180 grams. It supports Dual SIM (nano) and has a 3.5 mm audio jack. The home button comes with built-in fingerprint sensor, like the OnePlus 2. It is called U-Touch which acts as a Home Button when pressed hard, Back button on touch and double-click for multitasking.

The Z1 includes 4G LTE (FDD – 1800/2100/2600 MHz), 3G (WCDMA – 850/900/1900/2100 MHz), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS and USB 3.0 Type-C (10 times faster than USB-C) as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a whopping 4,100 mAh battery under the hood, which supports fast charging and it takes only 2.5 hours to charge from 0-100.

The package contains Cell Phone (1), SIM Needle (1), Power Adapter (1) and USB Cable (1).
