Lenovo ZUK Z1 has been officially launched at an event in India today, as expected. It is the same ZUK Z1 phablet that was unveiled back in August last year. Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of the device now.
Lenovo ZUK Z1 Specifications
The Lenovo ZUK Z1 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, that has a 1500:1 contrast ratio, 100% NTSC and comes with a pixel density of 401 PPI. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 64-bit processor along with 578 MHz Adreno 330 GPU. It has 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes with 64 internal storage (eMMC 5.0) but does not have any expandable storage option. The device runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be upgradable to Cyanogen OS 13 OS based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow soon. It has an aircraft-grade aluminium metal frame around the body.
The ZUK Z1 comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX214 Exmor RS sensor, OIS, f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision OV8865 sensor for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 175 grams. It supports Dual SIM (nano) and comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The home button comes with built-in fingerprint sensor (FPC 1155). It is called U-Touch which acts as a Home Button when pressed hard, Back button on touch and double-click for multitasking.
The ZUK Z1 includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS and USB 3.0 Type-C as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a whopping 4,100 mAh battery under the hood, which supports fast charging and it takes only 2.5 hours to charge from 0-100.
The Lenovo ZUK Z1 is available in Dark Grey color and has been aggressively priced at Rs 13,499 in India. It will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India via flash sales starting from May 19, 2016. Registrations for the same has already begun.
