Lenovo Z2 Plus becomes the cheapest Snapdragon 820 smartphone in India

Lenovo Z2 Plus (powered by ZUK) has been officially launched in India today, as expected. It is same as the ZUK Z2, which was launched in China back in June this year. However, the pricing of the Z2 Plus by Lenovo is a shocker (in a good way) and is completely a game changer. Find out the specifications, features and pricing of the Z2 Plus below.


Lenovo Z2 Plus (ZUK Z2) Specifications

The Lenovo Z2 Plus sports a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LTPS 2.5 curved glass display that comes with 500 nits of brightness, 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 100% NTSC color gamut. The display has a 1.41 mm narrow bezel on both sides. It is powered by a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 3 / 4 GB of RAM with 32 / 64 GB of internal memory (UFS 2.0), which cannot be expanded via microSD card slot. It runs on ZUI 2.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

On the camera front, the Z2 Plus rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, ISOCELL sensor, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, CAF dual-mode focus and EIS. It has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 µm pixel size and 78.9-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM (nano) and comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The body is made up of a metal frame, which is 8.45 mm thick and weighs 149 grams. It comes with U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint sensor that has been embedded into the home button, which can unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds and also promises an accuracy of 99.7%.

The Z2 Plus comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB 2.0 Type C as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,500 mAh battery under the hood with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support and can charge the device from 0-80% in just 1 hour.

The Lenovo Z2 Plus is available in White and Black color variants. It has been priced at Rs 17,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant and Rs 19,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant. It becomes the cheapest smartphone in India running on Snapdragon 820 cheapest. It will go on sale starting from September 25 (midnight) exclusively via Amazon India.
