Lenovo to launch Z2 Plus aka ZUK Z2 in India soon

Lenovo India is all set to launch the Z2 Plus aka ZUK Z2 in the country next month (September). The company has started teasing the device on their social media channels that reads, “Impatience is a Virtue. #FastForward.” Lenovo had previously launched the ZUK Z1 in India, priced at Rs 13,499. Lets check out the specifications, features and potential pricing of the device below.


Lenovo Z2 Plus (ZUK Z2) Specifications

The Lenovo Z2 Plus sports a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LTPS 2.5 curved glass display that comes with 500 nits of brightness, 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 100% NTSC color gamut. The display has a 1.41 mm narrow bezel on both sides. It is powered by a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal memory (UFS 2.0), which cannot be expanded via microSD card slot. It runs on ZUI 2.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

On the camera front, the Z2 Plus rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, ISOCELL sensor, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, CAF dual-mode focus and EIS. It has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 µm pixel size and 78.9-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM (nano) and comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The body is made up of a metal frame, which is 8.45 mm thick and weighs 149 grams. It comes with U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint sensor that has been embedded into the home button, which can unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds and also promises an accuracy of 99.7%.

The Z2 Plus comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB 2.0 Type C as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,500 mAh battery under the hood with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support and can charge the device from 0-80% in just 1 hour.
