Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch tablet announced at IFA 2015

Lenovo has announced couple of new Yoga Tabs at IFA 2015 in Berlin. Here, we look at the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch variant. Lets check out its specifications.


Lenovo Yoga 3 8-inch Specifications

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch features a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) HD IPS 10-point multi-touch display that comes with AnyPen technology. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8009 processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The Yoga Tab 3 rocks a 8 megapixel auto focus rotatable rear camera that will also take selfies and help do video calling. It is 3.0 – 7.0 mm thick, weighs 466 grams (WiFi) and 472 grams (4G LTE).

The Yoga Tab 3 comes with 4G LTE (optional), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 as connectivity options. The tablet packs in a 6,200 mAh battery under the hood that promises up to 20 hours of usage.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch variant has been priced at €199 (US $222 / INR Rs 14,800 approximately) for the WiFi model and €249 (US $278 / INR Rs 18,500 approximately) for the LTE variant. It will go on sale starting this October.

On this occasion, Jeff Meredith, General Manager and VP Tablet Business Unit, Lenovo said,

At Lenovo, we strive to deliver tablets that closely match consumers’ needs to enhance their tablet experience; we know from research that a tablet today is a consumption device and most frequently used for watching videos of all sorts. The latest YOGA Tab 3 series represents the epitome of entertainment for users on the go and home alike, realizing a whole new level of visual and auditory experience never before possible on a tablet platform. We are giving them flexibility to access their on-demand content anytime and anywhere, without being tethered to their couch.”

Lenovo also announced P1 and P1m, Vibe S1 with dual front-facing cameras, Lenovo Phab and Phab Plus at IFA.
