Lenovo had announced the Vibe X2, which is the company’s latest smartphone in the X series at IFA 2014 on September 5. According to press invites sent to other bloggers, Lenovo India is launching the smartphone on November 6 in India.

The Lenovo Vibe X2 features a 5-inch Full HD (1080p) display which is powered by a 2 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6595 processor. It runs on the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat with Vibe UI 2.0 on top of it. Vibe UI has personalized lock screen, Instant On camera, transparent icons and many more things.
On the camera specifications, the Lenovo Vibe X2 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with AutoFocus. It has LED flash as well. It also has a 5-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera for group selfies and video calling.
The latest Lenovo phone weighs only 120 grams and is just 7.2 mm thick. It is a Dual SIM phone only for the Asia-Pacific (India included) market and else where it has only one SIM.
On the connectivity options, it has 4G LTE/3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, etc. It packs in a 2,300 mAh battery under its hood which is pretty decent.
The main highlight of Lenovo Vibe X2 is its tri-layer design, which the company claims to be the world’s first layered smartphone with gradient three design. The phone comes with new innovative click-on accessories, called VIBE Xtensions, VIBE X2 Battery and VIBE X2 speaker. The Xtension adds a fourth layer to the tri-layer design of Vibe X2. The X2 battery is 5.1 mm thick which acts as a protector of the phone as well as increases the battery life by 75 percent. The Vibe X2 speaker offers better audio and also has a built-in-mic for group conference calls.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 will come in White, Red, Gold, Dark Grey colour variants and has been priced at $399 (Rs 24,000 approx). It will launch in India on November 6 and we are speculating on a price tag close to Rs 25,000.
