Lenovo Vibe Shot smartphone looks like camera announced at MWC 2015

Lenovo were to launch five smartphones at MWC 2015 in Barcelona according to rumours. We saw the Lenovo A7000 a while back and now Lenovo Vibe Shot has been launched at Mobile World Congress.


Lenovo Vibe Shot is a camera centric smartphone which actually looks like a camera. It comes with a smartphone body featuring many pro camera techniques to create a unique combo. Lets have a look at the specifications of the Vibe Shot. Panasonic Lumix CM1 was one of the first Android smartphones to have a dedicated camera.

Lenovo Vibe Shot Specifications


The Lenovo Vibe Shot features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company’s Vibe 2.0 UI on top of it.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot comes with a 16 megapixel rear camera with triple-tone flash which would produce consistent lighting in all kind of situations.It also has a six-piece lens, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and a Backside Illuminated sensor. The rear camera also comes with a laser auto-focus which doubles the focusing speed when compared to normal auto focus. The Vibe Shot comes with a dedicated camera shutter button and a switch next to it which, when toggled, flicks between smart shooting and pro shooting modes. The Pro shooting modes include manual exposure, ISO, white balance, etc.


On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 7.3 mm thick and weighs 145 grams. It supports dual SIM and both fits nano SIM.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot comes with 4G LTE (Cat 4), 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,900 mAh battery under the hood. It will be available in Red, White and Grey colour variants and has been priced at US $349 (INR Rs 21,600 approximately). It will go on sale in June 2015 wherever Lenovo phones are sold.
