Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus with Snapdragon 616 chipset goes official

Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus has been officially announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona along with the Vibe K5. It is basically the international variant of the Lenovo Lemon 3 that was introduced in China back in January this year. Lets go through the specifications and features of the Vibe K5 Plus here.


Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus Specifications

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display that has a brightness of 450 nits. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (Quad 1.5 GHz + Quad 1.2 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It packs in 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with Lenovo’s Vibe UI on top of it. It comes with stereo speakers present at the back that supports Waves MaxxAudio technology and also has Dolby audio on board for an enhanced experience.

The Vibe K5 Plus rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash that can capture Full HD 1080p videos. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It supports dual SIM (micro), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It has a metal body that is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 142 grams.

On the connectivity front, the Vibe K5 Plus comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 2,750 mAh battery under the hood.

The Vibe K5 Plus is available in Champagne Gold, Graphite Grey and Platinum Silver color variants and has been priced at $149 (INR Rs 10,241 approximately). It will start rolling out from March 2016. The company has also announced the Lenovo Vibe K5 for $129 (INR Rs 8,863 approximately).
