Lenovo Vibe K5 with Snapdragon 415 SoC launched in India for Rs 6999

Lenovo Vibe K5 has been officially launched in India today, as expected. It is the latest budget smartphone with 4G LTE support in the ‘Vibe’ series. It was unveiled back in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Lenovo India launched the Vibe K5 Plus back in March for Rs 8,499. Lets go through the specifications, features and pricing of the device now.


Lenovo Vibe K5 Specifications

The Lenovo Vibe K5 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, that is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It packs in 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage, that can be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with Lenovo’s Vibe UI on top of it.

The Vibe K5 rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, that can capture Full HD 1080p videos. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It supports dual SIM (micro), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It has a metal body, that is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 142 grams. It comes with stereo speakers present at the back that supports Waves MaxxAudio technology and also has Dolby audio on board for an enhanced experience.

On the connectivity front, the Vibe K5 comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 2,750 mAh battery under the hood.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 is available in Champagne Gold, Graphite Gray and Platinum Silver color variants. It has been priced at Rs 6,999 in India and will be sold exclusively on Amazon India via flash sale starting from June 22, 2016. Registrations for the pilot sale has already started from 1PM today.

Lenovo had recently launched two new phablets – the PHAB 2 and PHAB 2 Plus along with the world’s first tango smartphone – the PHAB 2 Pro in association with Google at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 in San Francisco.
