Lenovo Tab 2 A8 with Android 5.0 Lollipop, 4G LTE unveiled at MWC 2015

Lenovo Tab 2 A8 has been unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which comes with voice calling capabilities. Lenovo was expected to launch five new smartphones but we have not seen them yet. Lets have a look at the specifications of the tablet.


Lenovo Tab 2 A8 Specifications

The Lenovo Tab 2 A8 features a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display which is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8161/MT8735 processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8/16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A8 comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The tablet is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 360 grams. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack, dual front-facing speakers and Dolby ATMOS 3D Surround Sound. It has Dual SIM (micro SIM) support.


The Lenovo Tab 2 A8 comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The tablet rocks a 4,200 mAh battery under the hood.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A8 will be available in Ebony, Midnight Blue, Neon Pink and Pearl White colour variants and price starts at US $129 (INR Rs 7,900 approximately) for the WiFi version and US $179 (INR Rs 11,000 approximately) for LTE version. The device will go on sale by June, 2015.
