Lenovo announces the latest smartphone in the P series, the Lenovo P70 in China. The company launched the P90 at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. Let us have a look at the specifications of the smartphone.
Lenovo P70 Specifications
The Lenovo P70 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD capacitive touch screen display which is powered by 1.5 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 processor along with 700 MHz Mali T760-MP2 GPU. It has 1/2 GB of RAM and comes with 8/16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with the company’s Vibe 2.0 UI on top of it. Hopefully it will get an Android 5.0 Lollipop update as well.
The Lenovo P70 comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 149 grams. It has dual SIM and both fits in microSIM.
The Lenovo P70 includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/A-GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a whopping 4,000 mAh battery under the hood which promises up to 34 days standby time along with up to 46 hours talk time on 2G, up to 29 days standby time and 18 hours talk time on 3G. This smartphone can also act as a power bank and charge other devices on-the-go with the included micro USB cable.
The Lenovo P70 will only be available in Dark Blue colour variant and has been priced at Chinese Yuan 1399 (US $225/ INR Rs 14,000 approximately). The smartphone is now available in China and has also been listed in UAE and Russia on the company’s website.
Recently, the company launched the S90 in India priced at Rs 19,990 and has also revealed their revenue of the third quarter. Lenovo also unveiled the Vibe X2 Pro, Vibe Band VB10 and Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.
