Lenovo launches Moto G5 Plus in India exclusively on Flipkart, starts at Rs. 14999

Lenovo has officially launched the Moto G5 Plus in India at an event in Delhi today, as expected. It will be available exclusively via Flipkart. However, the Moto G5 was not announced in the country today. The smartphone was unveiled in Barcelona at the MWC 2017 event last month. Lets have a look at the specifications, features and pricing of the mobile below.

Moto G5 Plus Specifications

The Moto G5 Plus features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS LCD display, which has a pixel density of 424 PPI and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is being powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory / 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, which can be expanded further up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.

The Moto G5 Plus rocks a 12 megapixel primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX362 sensor, Dual-Pixel AutoFocus. It can record 4K videos. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, OmniVision OV5695 sensor for taking selfies and making video calls. It supports Dual SIM (nano), comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. It has a unibody metal design, which is 7.9~9.7mm thick and weighs 155 grams. It has water-repellent nano-coating for water resistance, like most other Motorola phones. There is a fingerprint sensor on the front and a front-ported loudspeaker as well.

In the connectivity department, the G5 Plus includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2 LE and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 3000mAh battery (non-removable) with support for Turbo Charging (15W), which promises up to 6 hours of battery life with just 15 minutes of charging.

The Moto G5 Plus is available in Fine Gold and Lunar Gray color variants. It starts at Rs. 14,999 for the 3GB RAM with 16GB ROM model, while the 4GB RAM with 32GB ROM variant costs Rs. 16,999 in India. It will be sold exclusively via Flipkart starting today midnight.
