Lenovo Mobile India is gearing up to deliver the #Knockout punch this year, after revolutionizing 4G last year. Well, we are not saying it but the company itself is. Lenovo India has been teasing a new device that will be announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 and going by the images, it is looking like a global variant of the Lenovo Lemon 3. The budget smartphone was introduced in China just a month back.
Lenovo Lemon 3 Specifications
The Lenovo Lemon 3 features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display that has a brightness of 450 nits. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (Quad 1.5 GHz + Quad 1.2 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It packs in 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. It comes with stereo speakers present at the back that supports Waves MaxxAudio technology and also has Dolby audio on board for an enhanced experience.
The Lemon 3 rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash that can capture Full HD 1080p videos. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It supports dual SIM (micro). It comes with a metal body that is 7.99 mm thick and weighs 142 grams.
On the connectivity front, the Lemon 3 comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 2,750 mAh battery under the hood.
The Lenovo Lemon 3 is available in Gold and Silver color variants and has been priced at CNY 699 (US $107 / INR Rs 7,290 approximately) in China. We will know the global and Indian pricing when it is being unveiled at MWC 2016.
While Lenovo India is gearing up to bring the Lemon 3 to deliver a #Knockout punch and strengthen its sub Rs 7,000 category, we believe Xiaomi India should up their game and launch the Xiaomi Redmi 3 in the country as well, staying relevant in this segment.
