Lenovo K5 Note with MediaTek Helio P10 chipset, fingerprint sensor, 3500mAh battery officially announced in China

Lenovo K5 Note has been officially announced in China today. It had received certification by TENAA couple of weeks ago. Lets check out the specifications of the device.

Lenovo K5 Note Specifications

The Lenovo K5 Note features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 64-bit processor along with 550 MHz Mali T860 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI on top of it.

The Lenovo K5 Note rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with 77.4-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It has a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera on the back. It comes with a dedicated audio chip along with powerful 1.5W speakers and supports Dual SIM. As usual like other Lenovo smartphones, they have Dolby Atmos Certified Audio as well. It sports a metal body with aluminium unibody design that is 8.49 mm thick.

The K5 Note packs in 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, as connectivity options. The phablet has a 3,500 mAh battery underneath the hood.

The Lenovo K5 Note is available in Silver and Golden color variants and has been priced at CNY 1099 (US $167 / INR Rs 11,319 approximately). It can now be ordered in China and will start shipping from January 31, 2016.

Recently, Lenovo India released the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note for Rs 11,999. It might have an advantage over the K5 Note in terms of RAM but loses out on the new Helio P10 processor, aluminium unibody design, 8 megapixel front-facing camera and WiFi 802.11ac. We would have appreciated more if Lenovo had launched the K5 Note in India as well.
