Lenovo A6000 goes on sale on January 28 at 2pm on Flipkart

Lenovo announced the A6000 at CES 2015 in Las Vegas, which was specially introduced for the Indian market to be sold exclusively on Flipkart. It was launched in India on January 16 for Rs 6,999. Registrations started at 6pm on January 16 and ended yesterday.


The Lenovo A6000 will go on sale today at 2pm on Flipkart. The smartphone’s first pilot flash sale will take place at 2pm and pre-registered users can take part in the sale. We do not know about the number of units going on sale or the number of people who have registered for the sale yet. To successfully purchase the device, login to your Flipkart account 10 minutes prior to the sale i.e., at 1:50pm.

We do not expect Lenovo to make headlines like “Sold out in 2 seconds or 3 seconds” like Xiaomi or YU but you never know as we do not have confirmation on the number of units, which will go on sale.

Lenovo A6000 Specifications


The Lenovo A6000 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display which is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor along with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with the company’s Vibe 2.0 UI on top of it. Hopefully it will get an Android 5.0 Lollipop update as well.

The Lenovo A6000 comes with a 8-megapixel auto-focus rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 128 grams. It has dual SIM and both fits in microSIM.

The Lenovo A6000 includes 4G LTE (TD-LTE 2300 MHz & FDD-LTE 1800 MHz), 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,300 mAh battery under the hood.

Recently, Lenovo unveiled the P90Vibe X2 ProVibe Band VB10 and Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.
