LeEco sells one million units of Le 2, Le 2Pro and Le Max2 in two hours

LeEco announced three new smartphones – Le 2, Le 2Pro and Le Max2 last week in China. The devices went on pilot flash sale today and according to a Gizmochina report, the company has reportedly sold a total of one million units of these three smartphones in two hours.

There is no exact breakup of the sales, so we do not know how many units each of Le 2, Le 2Pro and Le Max2 were sold but nonetheless these numbers are very impressive. If LeEco can keep up their inventory, it might be able to launch their new devices in other countries like India very soon. Lets check out the specifications of all devices now to refresh our memories.

LeEco Le 2 Specifications

The LeEco Le 2 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD in-cell IPS display that comes with 500 nits of brightness and 80% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 64-bit processor along with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of internal memory (eMMC 5.1) which is not expandable via microSD card slot. It runs on EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

On the camera front, the Le 2 rocks a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and f/2.0 aperture. It shoots 4K videos at 30 fps and 720p videos (slo-mo) at 120 fps. It has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4 µm pixel size and 76.5-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It has Dual SIM (nano) support, comes with a unibody metal design which is 7.5 mm thick and weighs 153 grams. Instead of having the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack, it comes with a new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard for lossless audio via USB Type-C port. We also have Dolby Atmos on board for an enhanced audio experience. It has a mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner at the back and also comes with an Infrared sensor.

The Le 2 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type C as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood that supports fast charging. The LeEco Le 2 has been priced at CNY 1099 (US $170 / INR Rs 11,253 approximately).

The LeEco Le Max2 sports a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD in-cell IPS display that comes with 450 nits of brightness and 95% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4 GB of DDR4 RAM with 32 GB of internal memory (UFS 2.0) or 4 / 6 GB of DDR4 RAM with 64 GB of internal memory (UFS 2.0) which is not expandable via microSD card slot. It runs on EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

The Le Max2 has been priced at CNY 2099 (US $325 / INR Rs 21,486 approximately) for the 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant, CNY 2299 (US $356 / INR Rs 23,533 approximately) for 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant and the 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM combo costs CNY 2499 (US $387 / INR Rs 25,596 approximately).
