LeEco Le Max2 6GB RAM variant goes on pre-order in China

LeEco Le Max2 was officially unveiled in China back in April along with Le 2 and Le 2Pro. As we already know, the Le Max2 comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, however only the 4GB variant was selling in China till now. Starting today, the company has started taking pre-orders for the 6GB RAM model of the Le Max2. The pre-order can be placed on the company’s official online store and units will start shipping in the next 2-3 weeks. It is priced at CNY 2499 (US $381 / INR Rs 25,415 approximately) in China.

The LeEco Le Max2 might also launch in India on June 8 along with the Le 2 and Le 2Pro smartphones, but the 6GB RAM variant should not be expected anytime soon.


LeEco Le Max2 Specifications

The LeEco Le Max2 sports a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD in-cell IPS display that comes with 450 nits of brightness and 95% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 6 GB of DDR4 RAM with 64 GB of internal memory (UFS 2.0), which is not expandable via microSD card slot. It runs on EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

On the camera front, the Le Max2 rocks a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and 6P lens. It shoots 4K videos at 30 fps. It has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4 µm pixel size and 76.5-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It has Dual SIM (nano) support, comes with a unibody metal design which is 7.99 mm thick and weighs 185 grams. Instead of having the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack, it comes with a new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard for lossless audio via USB Type-C port. We also have Dolby Atmos on board for an enhanced audio experience. It packs a Qualcomm Sense ID Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor with biometric security technology and also comes with an Infrared sensor.


The LeEco Le Max2 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type C as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,100 mAh battery under the hood with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
