LeEco India schedules an event on June 8, new smartphones expected

LeEco India has scheduled an event on June 8, after launching the Le 1s Eco earlier this month. We are expecting the company to launch the Le 2, Le 2Pro and Le Max2 at this event in Delhi. These devices were launched in China last month, which come with a new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard for lossless audio via USB Type-C. Lets go through their specifications now.

LeEco Le 2 Specifications

The LeEco Le 2 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD in-cell IPS display that comes with 500 nits of brightness and 80% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 64-bit processor along with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of internal memory (eMMC 5.1) which is not expandable via microSD card slot. It runs on EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

On the camera front, the Le 2 rocks a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and f/2.0 aperture. It shoots 4K videos at 30 fps and 720p videos (slo-mo) at 120 fps. It has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4 µm pixel size and 76.5-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It has Dual SIM (nano) support, comes with a unibody metal design which is 7.5 mm thick and weighs 153 grams. Instead of having the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack, it comes with a new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard for lossless audio via USB Type-C port. We also have Dolby Atmos on board for an enhanced audio experience. It has a mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner at the back and also comes with an Infrared sensor.

The LeEco Le 2 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type C as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood that supports fast charging.

It is powered by a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4 GB of DDR4 RAM with 32 GB of internal memory (UFS 2.0) or 4 / 6 GB of DDR4 RAM with 64 GB of internal memory (UFS 2.0) which is not expandable via microSD card slot. It runs on EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

It has Dual SIM (nano) support, comes with a unibody metal design which is 7.99 mm thick and weighs 185 grams. Instead of having the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack, it comes with a new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard for lossless audio via USB Type-C port. We also have Dolby Atmos on board for an enhanced audio experience. It packs a Qualcomm Sense ID Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor with biometric security technology and also comes with an Infrared sensor.

The LeEco Le Max2 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type C as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,100 mAh battery under the hood with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

LeEco India has said that it will send an official media invite soon with more information. Hence, by next week we will know more about the devices to be launched on June 8, 2016.
