Kingston introduced UHS Class 3 micro SD card

UHS micro SD cards are in trend now. Following this Kingston came up with a new micro SD memory card having latest UHS-I Speed Class 3. The memory card offers a speed of 90MB/s read and 80MB/s write speed and available in storage variants of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB. The company also said that the card exceeds the SD Association’s latest specification release, UHS-1 U3 (Ultra-High-Speed Bus, Speed Class 3) rated for 30MB/s read/write.

This micro SD card lets user capture Full HD (1080p), Ultra HD (2160p), 3Dand 4K videos smoothly. It can also play 4K videos smoothly without stutter or interruption and faster file transfer to PCs when using USB 3.0 card readers.

Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston, said:

 The growing adoption of high performance cameras and Android-based mobile devices has prompted Kingston to provide fast micro SD cards to maximize device performance. We are confident that our new 90-80MB/s micro SD card is built for extreme conditions and users will be able to capture all the memories they want on the card.

Kingston also said that the new micro SD card is Water resistant, shock proof, X-ray proof and temperature proof to perform even in harsh environments. It can be also combined with SD card adapter to use it as a full size SD card for DSLR or 4K camcorders. Kingston is providing lifetime warranty on this micro SD card.

The new micro SD card will be soon sold in Indian markets as standalone cards. It will come in three storage variants as mentioned above. The company hasn’t said any words on its pricing as of yet. Toshiba has announced the first of its kind NFC integrated memory card. Read the full story here.
