It is the 8th gen Kindle eReader that comes with the same 6-inch display seen on the Kindle Voyage, with a pixel density of 300 ppi, but has a redesigned built-in front light with 60% more LEDs. Hence, it becomes with brightest Kindle display ever. Lets check out the specifications and features of the device.

Kindle Oasis Specifications and Features

The Kindle Oasis features an ultra-thin flush 0.13″ display that comes with 200 micron backplane, which has new cylindrical diffractive patterns to increase the consistency and range of screen brightness, thus, will improve reading in all types of lighting conditions. The latest Kindle is also the thinnest and the lightest Kindle ever. It starts at 3.4 mm thick (at the thinnest point) and goes up to 8.5 mm (thickest point), weighs just 131 grams. The device comes bundled with a leather charging cover, which promises a battery life of several months and with the use of twelve magnets, it attaches to the Kindle securely. If the consumer decides to use it without the cover, the eReader will give up to eight weeks of battery life (wireless off).

The Oasis comes with a new design, which incorporates hand grip and it gives us physical page turn buttons, helping us to comfortably turn the pages. It also has an built-in accelerometer, that automatically rotates the orientation to match if you are using it on the left or right hand. It comes with dual-battery system as well. Hence, when we connect the cover to Kindle Oasis, the battery in the cover begins recharging Kindle Oasis automatically.
