Karbonn K9 Viraat has been officially launched in India today. It is the latest low-end budget smartphone in their ‘K series’ that runs on Android Marshmallow OS out of the box. Lets go through the rest of the specifications and features of the budget smartphone below.
Karbonn K9 Viraat Specifications
The Karbonn K9 Viraat features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, that is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The K9 Viraat comes with a 5 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, which can record Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 3.2 megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for selfies and video calling. The phablet supports Dual SIM with dual standby mode, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 11.7 mm thick and weighs 171 grams.
The K9 Viraat includes 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 2,800 mAh battery (non-removable) under the hood, that promises up to 8 hours of talk time (on 2G) and up to 350 hours of standby time.
The Karbonn K9 Viraat is available in Black and Champagne color variants. It has been priced at Rs 4,799 in India and will be sold online exclusively via Snapdeal along with offline retailers across the country. Unfortunately, the device does not support 4G LTE. If it did, it would have been one of the best smartphones under 5000 Rs in India, as the other specifications are quite good.
Last month, the company had launched the Karbonn Quattro L55 HD in India for Rs 9,990. It comes with a free VR headset out of the box.
