itel it1520 smartphone has been launched in India today. It is from the house of itel Mobile who are one of the latest brands in the Indian smartphone market. It is a selfie-focused device as it comes with a 13 megapixel front camera. It also supports eye-based unlocking but does not come with a separate Iris scanner like the Galaxy Note7 for biometric unlocking. Here the 13 megapixel front camera scans the patterns in the eye to offer password-free unlocking solution, which was also used in many ZTE smartphones. The itel it1520 features a 5.0-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD on-cell display, that is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with Mali T720 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The it1520 rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera dual LED flash. On the front, it has another 13 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 9.4 mm thick.

On the connectivity front, it includes 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.

The itel it1520 is available in Sandstone Black and Champagne color variants. It has been priced at Rs 8,490 in India.
