Intex iRist smartwatch with 3G, voice calling, Android KitKat launched in India for Rs 11999

Intex iRist smartwatch has been launched at the MWC Shanghai couple of days back. It is a smartwatch but runs full Android, has built-in 3G SIM slot with support for making or receiving calls and SMS. Lets check out the complete specifications.


Intex iRist Specifications

The Intex iRist smartwatch features a 1.56-inch (240 x 240 pixels) OLED display which is protected by Sapphire glass. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor. It comes with 512 MB of RAM and has 4 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB with microSD card. It runs on full Android 4.4 KitKat, instead of Android Wear specifically made for smartwatches by Google. Intex is also proud in saying that it is the first Indian company to launch an Android-powered smartwatch.

The iRist rocks a 5 megapixel camera on the right side between two physical buttons for selfies and video calling which can also record 720p videos. It can make or receive calls and SMS as it has 3G. It is 14 mm thick and weighs 83 grams. The smartwatch is IP65 certified which makes it dust and water-resistant. Also, comes with a pedometer to track fitness, steps and more.


On the connectivity front, the iRist comes with built-in 3G SIM slot, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/a-GPS. It packs in a 600 mAh battery under the hood which promises up to 240 minutes of talktime and up to 200 hours in standby mode.

The Intex iRist smartwatch is available in Pink, Black and Orange colour variants and has been priced at Rs 11,999 in India. It will be up for grabs around early August exclusively on eBay India initially. The box also comes with a Bluetooth Stereo headset.
