Intex Aqua View with Eyelet VR Cardboard launched in India for Rs 8999

Intex Aqua View has been launched in India, couple of days back. It is the latest budget smartphone in the Aqua series, that now comes with a free Eyelet VR Cardboard (Intex’s first-ever Virtual Reality Cardboard), which is based on the Google Cardboard V2.0. Lets check out the specifications and features of both the smartphone and the VR cardboard below.

The Intex Aqua View features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display, that is powered by a 1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The Aqua View comes with a 8 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Dual SIM with Dual Standby mode, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 10.3 mm thick and weighs 146 grams. It also has a fingerprint sensor (version 2.1) embedded on the home button.

The Aqua View includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,200 mAh Li-lon battery under the hood. It promises up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 9 days of standby time.

The Intex Eyelet is a Google certified VR, that works with any Google Cardboard (WWGC) device (Hardware should support Gyroscope and Accelerometer sensor). It will offer the users a unique gateway inside the fascinating world of 3D and they will be able to enjoy a 360 degree view. The device has an in-built cardboard application that allows users to experience the Eyelet VR technology.

The Intex Aqua View is available in White and Grey color variants. It has been priced at Rs 8,999 in India and the consumer gets a free Eyelet VR Cardboard in the package as well. The company had recently launched the Intex Cloud Glory 4G smartphone at Rs 3,999.
