Intex Aqua S2 has been launched in India. It is the latest smartphone in the Aqua series and is also happens to be the cheapest smartphone rocking a fingerprint sensor in India. However, it does not come with 4G LTE connectivity, which is very ironic here since the phone supports a modern feature in the form of a fingerprint sensor but does not have a basic option like 4G LTE. Intex Aqua S2 Specifications

The Intex Aqua S2 features a 5.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display that has a pixel density of 196 PPI. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 32-bit processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded further up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It supports Matrabhasha service that will enable communication in 21 regional languages and comes pre-loaded with apps like Saavn, Clean Master, Opera Mini and Intex services.

The Aqua S2 comes with a 5 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, we also get another 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Dual SIM (micro + nano) with Dual Standby mode, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 9.65 mm thick and weighs 153.8 grams. As you have read above, it is the cheapest smartphone in India to come with a fingerprint sensor that is located at the back.

The Aqua S2 includes 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,450 mAh battery under the hood that promises up to 110 hours of standby time and up to 5 hours of talk time.

The Intex Aqua S2 is available in White, Grey and Champagne color variants. It has been priced at Rs 4,990 in India. It could have been the best smartphone under Rs 5,000 in India had it packed in 4G LTE support. The company had launched the Intex Aqua Strong 5.2 in the country very recently.
