Intex Aqua Fish smartphone running on Sailfish OS 2.0 has been officially showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona last week. Intex and Jolla had partnered back in July last year and showcased an early prototype of the same phone at MWC Shanghai 2015. Lets check out the specifications and features of the device.
Intex Aqua Fish Specifications
The Intex Aqua Fish features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display that is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Sailfish OS 2.0 out of the box.
“The Sailfish OS 2.0 comes with a revamped user interface that is fast and user-friendly aimed at smooth OS flow and effective multitasking. It also introduces improved Android application compatibility and browser experience, smoother transitions throughout the OS and overall improved stability and performance,” said the company.
The Aqua Fish comes with a 8 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.
The Aqua Fish includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.
The Intex Aqua Fish will be available in Black and Orange color variants and will go on sale in India sometime in April. It will be priced around Rs 7,000.
