Huawei Watch can now be pre-ordered, price starts at USD 349

Huawei Watch was again showcased at IFA 2015 with added details about the device. It was first unveiled at MWC earlier this year and now we know the pricing and availability of Huawei’s first Android Wear powered smartwatch.


Huawei Watch Specifications and features

The Huawei Watch features a 1.4-inch (400 x 400 pixels) AMOLED display, that is made up of scratch-proof sapphire crystal lens. It has a pixel density of 286 ppi at a 10,000:1 high contrast ratio. The smartwatch’s casing is 42 mm in diameter and is around 11.3 mm thick. The watch is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It comes with 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of eMMC storage that is not expandable. It runs on Android Wear OS that is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 and above. Now, Android smartwatches also work with iPhones.

The Huawei Watch has a built-in heart rate monitor and an array of sensors including 6-Axis motion sensor and Barometer. It also has IP68 certification that makes it dust and water-resistant.


The Huawei Watch is available in gold, silver and black colour variants with stainless steel and leather band options. The pricing starts at US $349 for the stainless steel body and basic black leather strap and goes as high as $799 for the rose gold variant. Pre-orders have already started and the shipping starts from September 17. However, only the stainless steel and black-coated steel editions can be pre-ordered now with gold options coming “later this year”.

Huawei also announced the Mate S and G8 at IFA 2015.
