Huawei P8 Lite: a strip down variant of P8 announced

Huawei has announced the P8 and the P8max, both of them belong to the high-end market. The company has also announced the Huawei P8 Lite which is a stripped down variant of the P8 to fit in the mid-range category. Lets have a look at the specifications.


Huawei P8 Lite Specifications

The Huawei P8 Lite features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 620 64-bit processor. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it. The device is 7.7 mm thick and weighs only 131 grams.

The Huawei P8 Lite rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual colour temperature LED flash, OIS, RBGW sensor and F/2.0 aperture. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calling.

The Huawei P8 Lite comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, NFC as connectivity options. It packs in a 2,200 mAh battery under the hood.

The P8 Lite was not shown off during the event as Huawei chose to unveil it quietly. These are the specifications which are known at the moment. There is no information of the availability or pricing yet. However, we can expect it to be a mid-range device according to the specifications.
