Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 with Full HD display, metal body officially announced

Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 has been officially announced at CES 2016 today. The Huawei MediaPad M2 8-inch tablet with similar specifications was launched back in July, 2015. Lets check out the specifications of the tablet.


Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 Specifications

The Huawei MediaPad M2 tablet features a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) IPS display that is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Kirin 930 64-bit processor with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. It has 2 / 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 / 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it.

The MediaPad M2 tablet comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has an aluminium alloy, full-metal body with 7.35 mm thickness along with curved edges and a rich, sandblasted finish. It comes with four speakers with Intelligent Power Amplifier, Clari-fi Audio Restoration and SWS 2.0 Surround Sound, which is tuned by Harmon/Kardon for enhanced audio performance.


The MediaPad M2 tablet includes 4G LTE (optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS / aGPS as connectivity options. The tablet packs in a 6,660 mAh battery under the hood.

The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 2GB RAM/16GB ROM variant is available in Silver color and the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant is available in Gold color along with bundled active stylus. It will go on sale in USA in Q1 2016. It has been priced at US $349 (INR Rs 23,288 approximately) for the 2GB RAM WiFi only variant and $399 (INR Rs 26,624 approximately) for the 4G LTE variant. Whereas the 3GB RAM WiFi variant with stylus will cost $419 (INR Rs 27,959 approximately) and the 4G LTE variant will set you back by $469 (INR Rs 31,295 approximately).

The company has also announced the Huawei GX8 and Huawei Mate 8 for the global markets.
