Huawei had recently confirmed that they will unveil their flagship phablet, the Huawei Honor V8 at an event in China on May 10, 2016. Now, the smartphone has been certified by TENAA and it comes in three different variants – KNT-AL20, KNT-AL10 and KNT-TL10. Lets check out the rumoured specifications now.
Huawei Honor V8 Rumoured Specifications
The Huawei Honor V8 will feature a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display. It will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 955 (Quad 2.5 GHz A72 + Quad 1.8 GHz A53) 64-bit processor along with Mali T880-MP4 GPU / octa-core Kirin 950 (Quad 2.3 GHz A72 + Quad 1.8 GHz A53) 64-bit processor along with Mali T880 GPU. It will come with 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI on top of it.
The Honor V8 will rocks a 12 megapixel dual rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Laser Auto Focus. On the front, there will be a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calling. It will come with Dual SIM support (depending on region), a 3.5 mm audio jack and Stereo speakers. It will have a full metal body that is 7.75 mm thick and weigh 170 grams. It will feature a fingerprint sensor on the back with 3D fingerprint sensor technology and pack an infrared sensor as well.
The Honor V8 will come with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet will pack in a 3,400 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging support.
The Huawei Honor V8 will be available in Rose Gold, Silver and Gold color variants. We will know about the availability and pricing on May 10, after the company launches the new flagship phablet. A new mid-range budget smartphone, the Huawei Honor 5C could also launch on the same day.
