Honor, an online only subsidiary brand of Huawei finally goes offline in India starting today. Huawei Honor India was a Flipkart exclusive since its inception and recently it broke away from the exclusive to partner with Snapdeal to increase its online presence. Today, the company has announced its partnership with Zopper, India’s first hyper local marketplace to launch Honor smartphones offline.
Now, in addition to its online presence, Huawei Honor smartphones will now be selling across 267 outlets in Delhi NCR (Gurgaon, Faridabad), Vellore, Bangalore, Chennai and Pondicherry. According to the company, the smartphones will be available offline at the same prices as online prices.
- 5% cashback or Rs 750 whichever is less on transaction (amount will be credited to the Zopper app by 31st December, 2015)
- 1 year damage insurance/liquid damage from Zopper
- Valid till 24th December
Commenting on the announcement, Allen Wang, President of Consumer Business Group, Huawei India said:
“We are very encouraged with the response we have received for our Honor smartphones in India, including the Honor 4X, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 7. To reinforce our commitment towards our customers in India, and allow a higher level of access to Honor smartphones, we have decided to introduce Honor smartphones in the offline sales channel, which starts with the tie-up with Zopper, which allow customers to choose the retailer offering the best price for a product.”
Commenting on the tie-up, Harneet Singh Rajpal, CBO, Zopper, said:
“Zopper is an app that allows a customer to choose the retailer with the best price for a product, from over 10,000+ online and offline retailers. The app caters to the urban mobile-savvy consumer, who wishes to find the best local deals through pricing and product comparison. Honor is a modern brand targeted at the youth, and we believe that Honor will receive strong traction and sales on Zopper.”
