Huawei brings the Honor 8 to Europe, after launching in first in China back in July and in USA this month. It was officially unveiled at an event in Paris, where Huawei revealed the device’s Euro zone pricing.
The Huawei Honor 8 with 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM has been priced at €399 whereas the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant costs €449. It will go on sale by the end of September, 2016. In the UK, it starts at £369.90. The smartphone can be pre-ordered across Europe (almost) from the official Huawei online store. Also, it is going on sale in the Middle East and Russia tomorrow. Huawei honor 8 Specifications
The Huawei honor 8 features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, which has 96% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 (Quad 2.3 GHz A72 + Quad 1.8 GHz A53) 16nm processor along with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage or 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.
The honor 8 rocks a 12 megapixel dual rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Laser Auto Focus and 6P lens. It has 1.4 µm pixel size and it promises extraordinary image quality in low-light photography. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support (nano + nano/microSD) and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a full metal body that is 7.45 mm thick and weigh 153 grams. It features a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The honor 8 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging support.
