Huawei Honor 7i has been announced in China today, as expected. It is a device which comes with a special flip camera. Lets check out the specifications of the latest Honor smartphone.
Huawei Honor 7i Specifications
The Huawei Honor 7i features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD multi-touch in-cell display, which has a 1500:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor (4 x 1.5 GHz + 4 x 1.2 GHz) along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 / 3 GB of RAM and comes in 16 / 32 GB storage variants, which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it.
The Honor 7i comes with a 13 megapixel 180-degree flip camera with Sony sensor. It has a f/2.0 aperture, 28 mm wide-angle lens, sapphire crystal protection and dual-tone flash. It has dual SIM (optional) support, comes with 3.5 mm audio jack. The body is made up of metal frame that is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 160 grams.
Also, there is a highly sensitive fingerprint sensor, situated on the side of the phone, unlike the Honor 7 which has it at the back. Huawei says it can unlock the phone even with wet fingers and can learn automatically based on the usage pattern. The fingerprint sensor button can also be used as a camera shutter.
The Honor 7i includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,100 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging. The phone charges up to 50% in just 30 minutes and 100% in around 1 hour and 25 minutes.
The Huawei Honor 7 is available in White and Gold colour variants and has been priced at 1599 CNY (US $250 / INR Rs 16,300 approximately) for the base 2GB RAM variant with 16GB ROM for China Mobile. The same variant will cost 1699 CNY (US $266 / INR Rs 17,400 approximately) for China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. The 3GB RAM with 32 GB ROM variant for all the Chinese carriers is priced at 1899 CNY (US $297 / INR Rs 19,450 approximately). It is already on sale in China. However, there is no information on the global roll out yet.
