Huawei Honor 7i to be announced on August 20, might feature sliding camera

Huawei has announced the launch of their next device will take place on August 20 in China. It will be the Huawei Honor 7i and is expected to rock the sliding camera mechanism.

The Huawei Honor 7i event invite translates to ‘you change the vision together’. According to the earlier rumours, the Huawei ATH-AL00 might be the Honor 7i, which comes with the sliding camera mechanism. Lets have a look at the rumoured specifications.

Huawei ATH-AL00 aka Huawei Honor 7i

The Huawei ATH-AL00 aka Huawei Honor 7i will have a sliding camera mechanism where the users can slide the rear camera unit up from the module. This will in turn reveal the front-facing camera along with the Dual LED flash. This has been done in order to reduce the bezel on the front above the display. Also, it is very innovative and refreshing to see any manufacturer trying out different things in a saturated smartphone industry.

We can also find a large button on the side of the device which unlocks the module and could also act as a potential fingerprint scanner as well. It has a camera shutter button, so that makes the smartphone more focused on the camera aspect. However, there is not much to look forward to the specifications, as they were revealed in the TENAA listing. Still, it has been reported to sport a Kirin chipset, made by Huawei and will be coupled with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM.

Another model of the device with model number ATH-AL00H has also been spotted. It comes with 16GB of internal storage coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with 4GB of RAM. It has support for Dual SIM and will have 4G LTE on board as well. We will have more information on this soon.

Huawei Honor 7 was announced on June 30 and it has been one of the best-selling device for the company with 9 million pre-orders in one week in China.
