Huawei has officially announced the Honor 5C in China, after it was certified by TENAA couple of weeks back. It is the latest mid-range smartphone in the Honor series, which is also the successor of the Honor 4C. Lets check out the specifications of the device now.
Huawei Honor 5C Specifications
The Huawei Honor 5C features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 650 (Cortex A53 – Quad x 2.0 + Quad x 1.7 GHz) 16nm processor along with Mali T830 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.
The Honor 5C rocks a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens for selfies and video calling. It has Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD) support and comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a full metal body that is 8.3 mm thick and weighs 156 grams. It also comes with Box speakers, Smart PA amplifier and SWS sound for a better audio experience. The handset has a fingerprint sensor at the back that unlocks it in 0.5 seconds.
The Honor 5C comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood.
The Huawei Honor 5C is available in Gold, Silver and Grey color variants. It has been priced at CNY 899 (US $139 / INR Rs 9,224 approximately) for the standard variant whereas the dual 4G variant costs CNY 999 (US $154 / INR Rs 10,249 approximately) in China. It can be ordered now and will start shipping from May 5, 2016. There is no information on the global roll out yet but it is coming to India by end of May or early June, according to our sources.
Huawei is also gearing up to unveil the Honor V8 at an event in China on May 10, 2016.
