Huawei Honor 5A has been officially announced in China, as expected. It is the latest budget smartphone in the Honor series, which is also the successor of the Honor 4A. Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of the device now.
Huawei Honor 5A Specifications
The Huawei Honor 5A sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, that has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, viewing angle of 178-degree and is also protected by tempered glass. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz octa-core Kirin 620 processor along with Mali 450 GPU or an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (Quad 1.5 GHz + Quad 1.2 GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Emotion UI 4.1 on top of it. On the back, the Honor 5A comes with 3D patterns.
On the camera front, the Honor 5A rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 28 mm wide-angle lens and Sony/OmniVision sensor. It comes with a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony/Hynix BSI sensor and 27 mm wide-angle 4P lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 8.45 mm thick and weighs 168 grams.
The Honor 5A includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,100 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery under the hood.
The Huawei Honor 5A is available in Blue, Gold, White and Black color variants. It has been priced at CNY 699 (US $106 / INR Rs 7,122 approximately) for the standard variant whereas it costs CNY 799 (US $121 / INR Rs 8,145 approximately) for the China Telecom, China Unicom and the entire network version. It can be ordered via vmall starting today and will go on sale in China from June 17, 2016. There is no information on the global roll out yet.
